Open Solutions, Inc. was awarded a SBIR phase II contract in March 2007 to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the USAF and D.O.D. ABDR process. Research resulted in a program to speed and simplify complex structural repair decisions. This program allows structural engineering repair decisions to more easily and readily be made by in-theatre repair personnel. It includes extensive use of simplified calculators to perform difficult structural engineering calculations while taking in to account all required material properties and geometric considerations.
